Here's the explanation IU basketball received for no foul call on Tucker DeVries vs Northwestern

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana basketball forward Tucker DeVries needed 10 seconds to compose an answer when he asked about a controversial no call at the end of a 72-68 loss to Northwestern.
Wildcats forward Angelo Ciaravino appeared to slap DeVries' left wrist right as he hung in the air on a game-tying 3-point attempt with 3.4 seconds to go. DeVries was in utter disbelief on the court with Kelly Pfiefer standing right behind as he got off the shot.

"He said he couldn't see it," DeVries said after the long pause. "That's his explanation, I thought it was a foul, but it's part of the game. That's all I'm going to give."
Indiana basketball coach Darian DeVries screamed at Pfiefer from across the court while Northwestern hit a pair of free throws to put the game out of reach. DeVries briefly walked in Pfiefer's direction at the buzzer, but opted to just get in the hand shake line instead and quickly walked off the court to the locker room.
He had little to say about the call in his post-game news conference.
"It's a tough play," Darian DeVries said. "It happens fast. It's just what it is."
There was an attempt made through a pool reporter to ask the game officials about the call, but the protocol only allows for rules questions, nothing specific to judgment calls, and they offered no comment.
Indiana lost after leading by as many as 13 points with less than five minutes to go in the first half. The team had a field goal drought 9:56 down the stretch while missing 11 straight shot attempts. Northwestern's Nick Martinelli scored 21 of his 28 points in the second half.
"Ultimately, man, shouldn't have came down to the ref," IU guard Lamar Wilkerson said. "We shouldn't have put the ref in the position to make that call. When we was up we shouldn't have got comfortable. We just got to do better, man. We just got to do better."
