“I’m signed through (the 2029) season,” Berman said on the CNBC Sport podcast. “I’ll be almost 75. I think the nation’s more than had enough of me. I’m semi-retired now.”

Berman, 70, figures to play a prominent role in ESPN’s coverage of Super Bowl LXI in a year. Football is his forte, but “Boomer” has lent his voice to baseball, golf, and just about every sport ESPN has broadcast over the years.

“I’m just so proud of what we’ve been from Day 1 to getting a Super Bowl,” he told Sherman.

Berman has already put in a request for an appropriate retirement gift from the Disney-owned network.

“I did tell our president Jimmy Pitaro one day … I’m going to be here 50 years,” Berman told Sherman. “You may not have another guy or woman here, I don’t know. You’ve got to have a gold Mickey Mouse watch in somebody’s drawer, that you can give to me when I get to 50 years in 2029.”
