The Chicago Bears figure to be one of the teams interested in Las Vegas Raiders star edge rusher Maxx Crosby if he's made available via trade.

The Bears' need for Crosby comes from the fact that Chicago needs more juice across from Montez Sweat. Acquiring Crosby would fill that need in a big way and would increase Chicago's chances of making a deeper run in the playoffs in 2026.

In what is good news for Chicago's hopes of landing Crosby, KOA Colorado's Benjamin Allbright reports that the Bears are Crosby's preferred destination.

"Well, the Bears would be his preferred destination if he got to pick although I don’t know how they’d make the economics work there," Allbright said.

Of course, there's no guarantee that Crosby will actually have his pick of the lot if traded, but it's conceivable the Raiders could give him that opportunity with the respect the organization has for him.

One major roadblock for the Bears or any team interested in acquiring Crosby is the Raiders' high asking price, which is reportedly two first-round picks and a player. That's the exact deal the Dallas Cowboys got for Micah Parsons.

It's hard to believe any team will pay that much, but it's probably a matter of when, not if, the Raiders come down on that price if Crosby truly wants out of Las Vegas.

With so many teams slated to be interested in Crosby, we would assume Las Vegas will ultimately get a first-round pick, and the best-case scenario is likely that pick, plus a starting-caliber player.

The Bears could offer a package that includes a first-round pick and wide receiver DJ Moore, who is widely viewed as a possible trade candidate.

The Raiders need help at wide receiver for Fernando Mendoza and Moore would check that box.
