Vols' 4x400-meter relay records podium finish at NCAA championships

Tennessee's 4x400-meter relay team ended its indoor season with a podium finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

In the final event of the championships, the Vols' 4x400 relay team of Andrew Brown, Calvin Wetsel, Harry Barton and Saad Hinti recorded a third-place finish. Tennessee's men finished the championships with 13 points and 19th in team standings.

The relay team completed the race with a time of 3:03.73, a mark that represents Tennessee's best since a third-place finish in 2021 and second best time in program history. The top mark is 3:02.46, set this season.

In the women's pole vault, Lady Vols' sophomore Mya Straham became the third athlete to earn indoor All-America honors as she finished with an effort of 4.26 meters (13-11.75) on her second attempt. The effort earned her Second-Team All-America status.

Vols' sophomore JL Van Rensburg made his debut in the national championships, earning Second-Team All-America honors with a 14th-place finish of 18.86 meters (61-10.5). He is the eighth athlete to earn All-America status in indoor shot put.
