Nets' Terance Mann (illness) probable Sunday at Kings
· Yahoo Sports
The Brooklyn Nets (17-53) are dealing with some injuries as they approached the end of a 2025-26 NBA season that saw them deal with plenty of adversity amidst a rebuild. Brooklyn has already ruled out rookie guard Egor Demin and backup center Day'Ron Sharpe for the rest of the year and now, they'll begin their west coast road trip without other key members of the rotation.
The Nets announced on Saturday that center Nic Claxton, forward Michael Porter Jr., and forward Noah Clowney are out for Sunday's game at the Sacramento Kings (18-53) for their respective reasons. Claxton is not playing on Sunday as the team is resting him while Porter is recovering from a left hamstring strain and Clowney is still nursing a right wrist sprain.

Brooklyn announced earlier this week that Porter will be out of the lineup for at least the next two to three weeks due to his hamstring strain, meaning that he could be out for the rest of the season. While the Nets haven't said that Porter is done for the season, it would make sense for him to sit out given that Brooklyn is still in position to have one of the three worst records in the league if they continue to lose games.
Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez said prior to Friday's 93-92 loss to the New York Knicks that Clowney would miss Sunday's game at the Kings, but that the team would evaluate him afterwards. Assuming that to be the case, Clowney should be back in Brooklyn's lineup to play in at least three of the four games that would be remaining on the road trip after Sunday.
The good news for the Nets is that veteran forward Terance Mann, who missed Friday's loss to New York due to an illness, is listed as probable for Sunday's game at Sacramento. Assuming that Mann is available to play, he could be a factor in the rotation, especially with the Nets missing five players for the contest, including four players that have been fixtures in the starting lineup all season.
For tomorrow's game at the Kings, the Nets say that Nic Claxton (rest), Michael Porter Jr. (left hamstring strain), and Noah Clowney (right wrist sprain) are OUT.
