Rich Eisen interviews prospect who will visit Broncos before NFL draft

With very few holes in an already strong roster, the Denver Broncos may be looking for depth, rather than immediate starters, in the NFL draft, which is a little less than a month away.

Since the NFL combine, the Broncos have been heavily linked to Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers. Stowers (6-4, 239 pounds) is a former quarterback who converted to tight-end, one of those do-it-all weapons Denver head coach Sean Payton loves (see New Orleans Saints Swiss Army knife Taysom Hill).

Early on in the NFL combine process, Stowers visited with the Broncos brass, and he said during an interview on the Rich Eisen Show that he has a pre-draft visit scheduled at Dove Valley. Stowers could be an interesting addition to a roster full of versatile players such as Marvin Mims and Jaylen Waddle.

Stowers was the 2025 winner of the John Mackey award (given to the nation's most outstanding tight end) after posting a 62-catch, 762-yard, four-touchdown campaign in his final season with the Commodores.

Stowers is currently listed as the fourth-best tight end in the 2026 draft pool, according to Draft Wire's Curt Popejoy. You can check out Stower's full interview with Rich Eisen below.

Stowers has a decent chance of being off the board by the time Denver makes their first selection at 62nd overall, but then again, stranger things have happened.

The NFL draft will take place from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.
