San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama is a one-of-a-kind player, and people are still in awe of what he is capable of doing on the basketball court. He is a 7'5" behemoth, but he combines that with a skill set that could be seen in a guard.
At the same time, he uses that height to his advantage with his success as a defender so far in his career. He is on a positive trajectory that could make him one of the best players in the league, not only today, but across the NBA's long history.
Wade sees Wembanyama's all-timer trajectory
The NBA is filled with superstar talents today, spearheaded by the likes of Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. They are the names often brought up as great players today with a solid legacy in the all-time history books.
Wembanyama is only in his third year in the NBA, but he has shown a lot of potential to be an all-time great. As one of the players who can be considered an all-timer, Dwyane Wade believes that the Frenchman is headed in the right direction.

As a person who is quite opinionated, Wade has made sure to show some love to the next generation multiple times. This includes Wembanyama, who is now considered the next face of the NBA after LeBron James.
"If you’re a basketball fan, you have to love this guy's mentality… He has a little old school in him. We like a little sh*t talking. We like the ‘I should be MVP’ talk. We don’t hear that no more. Everybody too nice and complimentary of each other," Wade said on his The Why podcast.
"Everybody can’t do that, but the alien can. I do believe this is a guy who will win MVP in our league, championships, if he stays healthy, he’ll accomplish all the things. DPOY, he’s going to get all those awards to put him with some of the greats."
That is unique praise coming from Wade because Wembanyama is in that trajectory. He is ready to become the NBA's next superstar, and he will be ready to contribute and stand out every time he plays this sport.
