The Miami Dolphins have to understand that if they want Malik Willis to succeed at the highest level under center, it'll require them to make the right moves to add better wide receivers.
As things currently stand, the Dolphins might have the worst wide receiver unit in the NFL by a somewhat wide margin.
While the focus this offseason was largely centered on landing Willis and hoping that he can take them to a level they haven't been at in a very long time, we can only put so much on his plate if the wide receiver room isn't competent.
According to a recent report, one name that's surfaced is Dontayvion Wicks of the Green Bay Packers. Wicks also has interest from other teams around the league.
“Teams have been calling the #Packers about WR Dontayvion Wicks again,” Easton Butler posted on Twitter/X. “Some teams include the Bills, Raiders, Dolphins and Jets. Several others are calling, but these 4 have been the most prominent.”
For the Dolphins, the interest makes sense when you look at everybody they brought over from the Green Bay Packers during the offseason.
With a head coach, general manager, and quarterback all from Green Bay, among others, the Dolphins could go with some continuity here and bring in a talented young receiver.
The 24-year-old hasn't been a great player, but he also hasn't been bad by any means. In 2025, he posted 332 yards and two touchdowns. He only played in 14 games.
