Bayern Munich stars Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry remember Champions League glory
· Yahoo Sports
At this time of year, it is always a reminder of glory from past seasons within the Champions League.
For Bayern Munich stars Joshua Kimmich and Serge Gnabry, it is a good reason to think back to 2020 — as wild and as weird of a time as that might have been. Of course, that is all part of the story.

“Of course, you imagine a Champions League final differently – with the fans, to celebrate together,” Gnabry told Tz. “We celebrated in the locker room, and then there was a party at the hotel. But as you said, it’s still bitter that our fans couldn’t experience it with us in person.
“The celebration in the locker room was really, really good. But not being able to go out to the fans, to the stands, and not having any contact in the days that followed – that was missing.”
Kimmich also reminisced about how not having fans in the building took away from the atmosphere.
“Success brings people together. When you win games together, a dynamic develops. We’re experiencing that this season as well. You become a unit,” Kimmich said.
We all hope to never have to see that kind of UCL finale again and — clearly — Bayern Munich wants the chance to soak the whole experience in, rather than play in front of an empty arena.
Who can blame the players?
