MP News: Students Enlightened On Child Rights, POCSO Act In Alot

Alot (Madhya Pradesh): A legal awareness camp was organised at PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya here on Friday. Additional District Judge (ADJ) Sandeep Kumar Soni attended the programme as chief guest.

Addressing students, ADJ Soni provided detailed information on child rights, judicial processes, the POCSO Act, cyber security and career opportunities in the legal field.
Stressing the importance of legal awareness, he encouraged students to become responsible and informed citizens. Students raised questions on various topics and sought clarifications.
School principal Shantilal Teli welcomed Soni and expressed gratitude for the informative session. He said that such initiatives play a significant role in enhancing awareness and supporting overall development of students.
Three held for stealing oil from transformer
Barkheda Kalan police station in Ratlam district cracked a case of oil theft from a government transformer and arrested three suspects, including two MPEB line helpers.
The case began on Mar 28, when Bapu Singh Gurjar, a resident of Nipaniya Lal village, filed a complaint regarding theft of oil from a government transformer at Himmatkhedi. Police registered a case under Crime No 51/2026 and formed an investigation team under the direction of SDOP Alot Pallavi Gor.
During the probe, police found that Dashrath Singh Rajput of Somchadi village was using stolen transformer oil in his tractor. On questioning, he revealed the names of two MPEB line helpers, Pirulal Suryavanshi and Prabhulal Suryavanshi, both residents of Devgarh, as being involved in the theft.
Police arrested all three suspects and seized the tractor used in the crime. SHO Ravindra Dandotiya and his team played a key role in the operation.
