Rutgers guard Makylah Moore enters transfer portal

Rutgers guard Makylah Moore has shared her intention to enter the transfer portal this offseason.

Moore will become the third Scarlet Knight to enter the portal when it opens on April 6, according to a report by Talia Goodman of On3. She will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Moore joined Rutgers in June. She appeared in 13 games for the Scarlet Knights and averaged 0.9 points and 0.8 rebounds per game. Moore played seven minutes against Wagner on Nov. 3 and finished with four points and four rebounds.

Moore was a late addition for former head coach Coquese Washington. She believed that the point guard was a 2026 commit but that was not the case. Rutgers’ interest in Moore intensified once realized she was a 2025 prospect and she became the second commit of the class.

The product of New York City led Nazareth in Brooklyn to a state title. She averaged over 20 points per game as a senior and starred on the AAU scene as well for the NY Gauchos before coming to Piscataway.
