McIlroy’s epic 2025 victory at Augusta National not only secured him a spot at the table, but also allowed him to design the menu.
The Northern Irishman defeated Justin Rose in a playoff this time last year, and in doing so became the sixth man to complete the career grand slam.
McIlroy was joined by several other former champions of the iconic tournament at the dinner, including Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson.
Their fellow legend Gary Player was also in attendance, and the South African was keen to officially welcome McIlroy to the exclusive club afterwards.

Taking to social media, Player shared an image of those attending the Champions Dinner, which has become more and more iconic over the years.
Posting on X, he accompanied it with the simple message: “Welcome to the club, Rory. GP.”
It’s a classy touch from Player, who has undoubtedly helped McIlroy feel at home at Augusta National.
Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm and Dustin Johnson, who are all playing at The Masters this year, were also in attendance.
But unfortunately missing out were legendary figures Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.
The former has decided to step away from golf to focus on his health, while the latter is dealing with a family matter.

McIlroy will quickly turn his focus to the tournament itself, which he enters after just four PGA Tour starts in 2026.
And he withdrew during one of those due to a back injury, with the defending champion having had far from the ideal preparation for The Masters.
Fortunately, he has superb motivation in the form of the green jacket that he earned for clinching the title last time out, which he unsurprisingly doesn’t want to let go of.
Speaking ahead of the dinner, he told BBC Sport: “I’d say one of my closing remarks tonight at the dinner is going to be, ‘I plan to leave this week with the jacket again’.
“So yeah, I don’t want to give it up. It’s been nice to walk into my wardrobe and just see it hanging there.
“So I would certainly miss it if it goes away. So that’s a good motivation to try to win it again.”
The iconic green jacket represents quite the motivation indeed for McIlroy at Augusta National, where he will be joined by Cameron Young and amateur Mason Howell for rounds one and two.
