San Francisco cops say at about 1:40 a.m., a Honda sedan pulled up in front of Altman’s home after driving by it several minutes before.
A person in the passenger seat put their hand out the window and fired a round at the side of the property, cops said, citing surveillance footage they obtained and an account from the home’s security personnel, who reportedly heard a gunshot.
The Honda then fled the scene, but not before the security camera captured the licence plate. Cops later found the vehicle and arrested Amanda Tom, 25, and Muhamad Tarik Hussein, 23, without incident.
‘Anxiety about AI is justified’
Sunday’s incident is the second attack in a matter of days on Altman’s home. On Friday, Daniel Alejandro Moreno-Gama was arrested after a Molotov cocktail was tossed at the home.
Security guards extinguished the fire and surveillance cameras recorded the attack.
There were no injuries in both incidents.
The attacks added to fears voiced earlier in the weekend by Altman, who wrote about the Friday attack on his blog.
“The fear and anxiety about AI is justified. We are in the process of witnessing the largest change to society in a long time, and perhaps ever,” said Altman, per The San Francisco Standard.
