Florida softball in national rankings after South Carolina series sweep
· Yahoo Sports
Florida softball had its most dominant SEC series of the season at South Carolina, but it did little to impact national rankings.

The Gators held steady in two of four national polls as both USA Softball and D1 Softball still place the squad at No. 7. There was some movement in front of UF with Oklahoma’s series win at Texas, but both the Sooners and Longhorns remain in front.
The same goes for Alabama, Nebraska, Texas Tech and Arkansas.
The only poll that deviates is the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). That poll, generally viewed as one of the top two along with USA Softball, puts Florida at No. 4 behind just Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Alabama and ahead of Texas.
In the all important RPI, weighted heavily for postseason seeding, the Gators are No. 4 as well behind Arkansas, Alabama and Texas – in that order.
With Arkansas traveling to Oklahoma and Texas in Athens, there should be a chance for the Gators to move up, as long as they take care of business vs. Auburn and a midweek vs. Florida Gulf Coast before.
