“In the interest of safety, customers are advised to treat all electrical appliances as live at all times during the power supply outage,” Eskom said.
This precaution aims to prevent accidents that may occur when the electricity supply is unexpectedly restored.
Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances and prepare in advance to minimise disruption to daily activities.

“Should circumstances beyond the control of Eskom arise, the planned electricity maintenance may not proceed as communicated,” the utility explained.
