The New York Giants have agreed to trade three-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals and will get the No. 10 overall selection in return, giving the G-Men two picks in the top 10. New York is also scheduled to pick fifth overall.
A person with direct knowledge of the deal confirmed the trade to USA TODAY Sports' Tyler Dragon. The person requested anonymity because the move is not yet finalized.
Lawrence still has to pass a physical with the Bengals and agree to new contract parameters before the transaction becomes official.
This will be the first time since 2022 that the Giants have had two selections in the top 10. They also picked two players in Round 1 last year, drafting pass rusher Abdul Carter third overall before dealing back into the first round to get quarterback Jaxson Dart 25th overall.
