Watch: George Kittle steals NBA star's beer, chugs it at WrestleMania

San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle announced his presence with authority at Saturday's WrestleMania, making his entrance by stealing a beer from Indiana Pacers star point guard and noted Brock Purdy stan Tyrese Haliburton.

Between matches the camera turned its attention to noted Haliburton, who stood up and raised his beer (editor's note: I think it's an 805) to the crowd. It appeared he planned on chugging the beverage on camera. As he went to take a drink, Kittle crashed into the frame, reached over and swiped the beer from Haliburton. Kittle, ever the showman, proceeded to dispense of Haliburton's beer in one chug.

It's hard to imagine Haliburton's college allegiance (Iowa State) didn't play at least some role in Kittle's caper.

It isn't totally clear if this is a work (editor's note: my friends who like wrestling tell me this means 'planned'). Both players are big wrestling fans so it's easy to see how they would come up with something like this. On the other hand, Haliburton seems genuinely flustered before offering what appears to be a begrudging applause after Kittle has finished dispatching the beer.

Haliburton missed the entire 2025-26 NBA season while recovering from an Achilles tear he suffered in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals last June. Kittle is also working his way back from a torn Achilles, and if his recovery keeps going well, we should see both perpetrator and victim of this hoppy heist back in action for their respective teams in the Fall.
