The Los Angeles Dodgers have finally made the call on Edwin Diaz, amid an uninspiring start to the season. The Dodgers have placed Diaz on the injured list due to loose bodies in his right elbow
Diaz has looked anything but dominant this month, blowing up the save against the Texas Rangers, followed by his latest appearance against the Colorado Rockies, where he gave up three earned runs without retiring a single batter.

Midway through this month, Diaz shared with the Dodgers that he "didn't feel right," which raised initial concern. The Dodgers also noted the drop in his velocity, as the right-hander's four-seam fastball went down to 95-96 mph. In his peak fitness, he's able to consistently throw 97-99 mph.
