Warrington Wolves kept pace with Super League leaders Leeds Rhinos by beating Wigan Warriors - who have now lost four successive league matches.
The Wire achieved victory without their injured captain George Williams, who confirmed during the game that he will have surgery on a neck problem that will keep him out for a significant portion of the season.
Winger Josh Thewlis, making his first appearance since signing a new long-term contract, and centre Albert Hopoate both scored two tries as Warrington extended their 100% winning home record in 2026.
Wigan winger Zach Eckersley's stunning reply, his 10th try in Super League this season, had got the visitors back in touch at 12-6 behind, but they were ultimately unable to halt their poor run of Super League results.
The Warriors were victorious in a Challenge Cup quarter-final at Wakefield earlier this month but they have not won in the league since 19 March and are now four points behind Leeds, who thrashed Catalans Dragons on Friday.
Sam Burgess' Wire, meanwhile, are second in the table and two points behind the Rhinos having played one game fewer.
