In addition to Chris Johnson being drafted by the Dolphins, four other Aztecs were given UDFA offers

While perhaps not a target rich environment, four other Aztec players managed to receive calls from NFL teams.

First up is kicker Gabriel Plascencia who was given an offer by the Chicago Bears.

Next up is Cornerback Bryce Phillips who was offered by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Offensive tackle Christian Jones was given a $50,000 signing bonus to play for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Finally, Edge rusher Niles King was offered by the Los Angeles Chargers.

Other MWC Players on the UDFA list include:

Wyoming LB Caden Barnett to the Chicago Bears

Wyoming TE Michael Gyllenborg to the Kansas City Chiefs

Wyoming RB Sam Scott is going to the New York Jets

Hawaii Kicker Kansei Matsuzawa will travel a short distance to the Las Vegas Raiders

Utah State Safety and former Aztec Noah Avinger will be with the Los Angeles Chargers

And finally, former Wyoming and current Arizona receiver Luke Wysong with travel to the Minnesota Vikings.

This list is fluid and subject to frequent changes. It was nice to see another MWC First Round pick after last season’s Ashton Jeanty selection. One stat I saw was the large number of players taken by the Power 4 group. This will certainly provide strain to keep top flight players on the G6 teams.
