Nation's No. 4 tight end announces commitment plans

The Georgia Bulldogs could get another elite tight end in their 2027 recruiting class. Four-star tight end Brock Williams is set to commit on May 15, according to Greg Smith of Rivals. Williams will choose among Georgia, Texas, and Ohio State.

Williams stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 210 pounds. He plays high school football at Libertyville High School in Libertyville, Illinois. He is the fourth-best tight end and No. 95 recruit in the nation.

No recruiting website has logged a Crystal Ball prediction on Williams' destination, but Rivals' prediction model has the Texas Longhorns getting him, although he's geographically closest to Ohio State. Williams is a priority target for Georgia.

The Longhorns currently have the No. 13 recruiting class in the nation, with a few blue chips littered around. Five-star wide receiver Easton Royal headlines the class, but they haven't invested much in the tight end class. Their only tight end from the class of 2027 is three-star TE JT Geraci.

Georgia, meanwhile, has invested heavily in tight end recruiting. They have just the No. 22 recruiting class in the nation, but they've earned a commitment from five-star TE Jaxon Dollar in this class.

Last class, they recruited blue-chip tight end recruits Kaiden Prothro, Lincoln Keyes, and Brayden Fogle. That added to a tight end room including Lawson Luckie, Elyiss Williams, Ethan Barbour, and Jaden Redell. Safe to say, Georgia TE coach Todd Hartley has been putting in work to help Georgia's TE room be where it is.
