Brock Rechsteiner wasn't a well-known name during the NFL Draft process.
But after spending time at the Tennessee Titans rookie minicamp, Rechsteiner turned a subsequent trip to New Orleans Saints minicamp into his first NFL contract.
Saints reporter Nick Underhill shared the news Monday that the Saints had signed Rechsteiner to a deal.
Most notable about Rechsteiner at this point is his family heritage -- he's the son of a WWE Hall of Famer.
This is how Pro Football Talk explained the lineage:
"Rechsteiner is the son of Scott Rechsteiner, who wrestled under the aliases Scott Steiner and Big Poppa Pump and is in the WWE Hall of Fame. His uncle, Rick Steiner, was his father’s tag team partner, and Brock’s first cousin, Bronson Rechsteiner, currently wrestles as Bron Breakker."

Rechsteiner has said himself that when his football days are done, he wants to get into wrestling himself.
First, he'll try to prove he belongs with the Saints.
Rechsteiner played the 2025 college football with Jacksonville State and caught 36 passes for 383 yards and five touchdowns.
Jax State listed him at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds -- and unlike most players these days, Rechsteiner played his whole college career in that one spot.
He's originally from Woodstock, Georgia, and he was an all-region player in both football and basketball in high school.
Now, he's getting the chance to pursue a pro football career, and if it goes well, his hoped-for pro wrestling journey will feel like quite the encore.
