Football fans wanted to make Deuce Vaughn fit in Denver with Broncos head coach Sean Payton.
Vaughn, at 5-foot-6 and quick, had his size in common with one of Payton's most fun New Orleans Saints players, Darren Sproles.
But in the end, Vaughn didn't make it.
The Broncos announced Tuesday that they've waived Vaughn from their offseason roster.

Why did the Broncos cut Deuce Vaughn?
The reality is that Vaughn doesn't have an obvious NFL skillset.
He began his career with the Dallas Cowboys, where he made no inroads as an effective offensive player.
He then spent the 2025 season as a practice squad player for the Broncos but didn't get any chances at regular season action.
Now, Denver kept him to begin the offseason, but Vaughn didn't even make it to training camp.
Vaughn was a good college player at Kansas State, but to be 5-foot-6 and still make it in the NFL, he needs to be transcendent.
At the moment, it just doesn't seem like Vaughn quite has what it takes to overcome his lack of size.
