Dharmendra Pradhan Honours Kolhapur Entrepreneur at CII Annual Business Summit

In a significant recognition for Maharashtra’s rural entrepreneurship ecosystem, Kolhapur-based agri entrepreneur Arundhati Patil was conferred the prestigious CII Foundation Woman Exemplar Award 2026 for her contribution towards women-led agricultural entrepreneurship and sustainable rural livelihoods.

The award was presented by Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education, Government of India, at the CII Annual Business Summit in recognition of Patil’s work in creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural women through agriculture, organic farming and micro-enterprise development.
The CII Foundation Woman Exemplar Awards recognise grassroots women leaders driving social transformation across sectors including Health, Education, Micro-enterprise and Community Strengthening. This year, more than 340 nominations from across India were received, from which four women changemakers were selected by an eminent national jury.
