New York Mets infielder Bo Bichette has been one of the better hitters in Major League Baseball throughout a lot of his career.

There's a reason why the guy has led the AL in hits twice throughout his career and had a chance to do it for a third time last season before going down with an injury.

Unfortunately, the start to his tenure with the Mets has been far from ideal, as Bichette has statistically been one of the worst everyday starters in baseball. It's a tough situation for everyone involved, but there's actually some light at the end of the tunnel.

According to The Athletic, Bichette has been one of the five unluckiest hitters in baseball this season.

“Entering Sunday, the 67-point drop from Bichette’s .277 expected batting average to his actual .210 mark was the fifth largest in the league among hitters with a minimum of 150 plate appearances,” Ken Rosenthal wrote

“The 127 point drop from his expected .398 slugging percentage to his actual .271 mark was the second largest.”

I know most Mets fans won't want to hear about expected batting averages and whatnot, but typically, averages eventually even out. If Bichette can keep taking the swings that he has, there's reason to believe that he can figure some things out.
