Boston Red Sox — Fenway Park

The Boston Red Sox took down the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night to secure a three-game series sweep.

Now, Boston finds itself two games above .500 under interim manager Chad Tracy and at 22-27 on the season overall. Boston will have a much-needed day off on Thursday before kicking off a three-game series against the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park on Friday.

One thing that will be interesting is the fact that WEEI's Rob Bradford reported on Wednesday that the Red Sox will be allowing the viral "Tarps Off" craze to come to Boston, if the fans see fit.

"Confirmed to me through a Red Sox spokesperson: You can go 'Tarps Off' at Fenway Friday night. 'There is no specific policy against removing your shirt at Fenway Park. We ask fans to abide by the code of conduct to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all.'"

The "Tarps Off" trend has been something out there for a bit, but it significantly saw its popularity increase over the weekend as fans of the St. Louis Cardinals flocked to Busch Stadium and brought some wild energy to town.

Teams around the league have seen an uptick in fans waving their shirts above their heads in large groups. It sounds like that could be the case at Fenway Park as well.
