For much of Olamide Zaccheaus’ first stint in Atlanta, winning was hard to come by.
Despite the losing, Zaccheaus steadily developed into a reliable target in Atlanta’s offense. He recorded career highs during the 2022 season with 40 receptions, 533 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. His NFL journey changed dramatically once he left Atlanta.
Zaccheaus signed with the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of the 2023 season and immediately joined a winning culture. Philadelphia finished 11-6 and returned to the playoffs, giving Zaccheaus his first postseason experience. Although he played a limited offensive role behind stars A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, he still contributed 10 receptions for 164 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season.
Zaccheaus brings new experience to Falcons
In 2024, Zaccheaus reunited with former Falcons head coach Dan Quinn after signing with the Washington Commanders. The move proved beneficial for both sides. Zaccheaus posted 45 catches for 506 yards and three touchdowns while helping Washington make a surprising playoff run. He also appeared in three postseason games for the Commanders, adding seven receptions during the playoffs.
He then joined the Chicago Bears in 2025, continuing a stretch of competitive football that had been missing earlier in his career. Across his three seasons with the Eagles, Commanders, and Bears, Zaccheaus’ teams combined to go 34-17 and appeared in six playoff games after he experienced none during his Falcons years.
Now back with Atlanta for the 2026 season, Zaccheaus returns as a veteran receiver with far more experience and perspective than when he first arrived as an undrafted free agent in 2019.
