Scarr joined Sunderland in summer 2020 after impressing with neighbours Middlesbrough. She has gone on to make 135 appearances in all competitions in red and white, scoring 28 goals. The forward is a three-time Sunderland Player of the Season winner.

In her time at Sunderland, Scarr has helped the club to compete strongly in Barclays WSL2. She has also been a member of Sunderland sides that have enjoyed a couple of good cup runs in recent years.

After opting to extend her deal at Sunderland, Scarr said “I’m really pleased to sign a new deal with the club. It’s an exciting time for everyone with the new investors, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve next season.”

Scarr follows Jenny Blench and Natasha Fenton in signing fresh terms with Sunderland during the close season. Further contract news will be announced by the club in due course.
