The decision means the much-anticipated clash will no longer go ahead as planned, dealing a major disappointment to players, parents and supporters who had been preparing for one of the traditional schoolboy sporting fixtures on the calendar.

Grey College confirmed its withdrawal following concerns over the health and wellbeing of pupils after cases of swine flu were reported at the Bloemfontein-based school.
