TTC's King streetcar diverted after truck crash cut off power in Liberty Village

The TTC says the 504 King streetcar was being diverted Wednesday morning after a truck struck a rail bridge in Liberty Village and cut off overhead power along part of its route.

Toronto Police said on social media the crash occurred at King St. W and Atlantic Ave. – east of Dufferin St. – shortly after 8 a.m.
Officers responded to the scene but no injuries were reported.
Police advised commuters to consider alternate routes in the area.
TTC spokesperson Stuart Green said in an email that the truck hit the west side of the underpass and crews were at the scene assessing the damage.
According to the TTC’s service alerts, the eastbound 504A and 504B streetcars are being diverted to Queen St. W. between Shaw and Dufferin Sts. for emergency overhead repairs.
Green said the westbound routes are staying on King St. W.

There is no estimated time for repairs to be completed, Green added.
Shuttle buses are also running between Sunnyside and Strachan Aves.
