Hall, a former All-American for Illinois, will be the third head coach in program history after Illinois fired Tyra Perry last month.

Illinois said Hall agreed to a five-year contract.

She spent the last four years as head coach at Ohio, where she was twice named MAC Coach of the Year.

Hall played for the Illini from 2003-06 and finished her career as the school record-holder for:
