When it comes time for the three-time NBA MVP to sign a four-year contract extension with the Denver Nuggets worth nearly $280 million this summer, all indications point to the superstar big man signing it without hesitation. The living Nuggets legend and best player in franchise history will, in all likelihood, never wear another NBA uniform or play in another NBA city. He's keen on "being a Nugget forever."

Sorry, Los Angeles Lakers fans. I'm sure that, as fans of one of the most prestigious organizations in professional sports, your team will find another top-of-the-league star to poach and put into yellow and purple soon enough. Don't worry. Don't sweat it.

Now, you might be asking yourself: Why do I say all of this about Jokić, seemingly at random?

Well, he's releasing a new colorway for his "Joker 2" shoes with the 361Sport brand, for which he is the headline athlete. They are entitled "Broncos," as in Denver Broncos, and feature a strong orange accent on a black base.

Oh, huh.

Let me put it this way. A guy who wanted to leave the Denver Nuggets soon would certainly not be releasing a colorway themed off his city's extremely popular professional football team. Not unless he wanted to engage in an elaborate troll job, which seems quite foolish to suggest.

The Nuggets, of course, still have a lot of work to do if they want to win another championship with the best player they've ever had. We'll see what kind of roster magic they can work, if any, to do just that this offseason. The good news for Denver is that it doesn't have to worry about Jokić bolting during that process. It can lock him in and try to build around him and his skillset without a second thought.

Jokić is a Nugget for the long haul, regardless of what happens over the rest of his illustrious career.
