Women's T20 World Cup 2026 group stage preview

The 10th edition of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 will see 12 participating teams, split into two groups of six.

Group 1 features Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and the Netherlands, while Group 2 consists of England, Scotland, Ireland, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and the West Indies.

The top two sides from each group progress to the semi-finals. India, fresh from their ODI World Cup triumph last year, enter as one of the favourites alongside Australia and hosts England.

The group stage gets underway on June 12. The first match will see England lock horns with Sri Lanka on Friday.
