The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback recently landed third in an ESPN ranking of fantasy quarterbacks for 2026, trailing only Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Hurts finished ahead of Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, Joe Burrow, Jaxson Dart, Bo Nix, Matthew Stafford, and Brock Purdy in a top 10 that heavily favored quarterbacks with either elite rushing value, high-volume passing production, or both. Hurts’ placement should not be a surprise. Even in a season that included transition and offensive adjustments, he remained one of the league’s most reliable fantasy options because he combined efficiency, touchdown production, and rushing value.

Hurts played 16 games during the 2025 regular season, passing for 3,224 yards, 25 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. At the same time, Jackson’s explosiveness as both a passer and runner gives him week-winning potential. Hurts belongs in that same conversation because his path to fantasy points is similarly stable.

The most notable part of the ranking may be the quarterbacks behind him. Maye and Daniels bring youth and upside; Burrow remains one of the NFL’s most polished passers; Dart and Nix offer intriguing growth potential; Stafford remains productive; and Purdy continues to benefit from an efficient offensive structure. Hurts still landed ahead of all of them, which speaks to the trust fantasy evaluators have in his role and production.

Philadelphia’s 2026 offense will be worth watching after the departure of A.J. Brown and the continued elevation of DeVonta Smith as the team’s No. 1 wide receiver. New pieces such as Makai Lemon, Hollywood Brown, Dontayvion Wicks, and Elijah Moore could reshape the passing game. At the same time, Saquon Barkley and the offensive line should continue giving Hurts balance and support.

For fantasy managers, the equation remains simple. Hurts may not always lead the league in passing yards, but he protects the football, throws touchdowns, wins games, and remains one of the NFL’s most dangerous quarterbacks near the goal line. That combination is why he enters 2026 as a top-three fantasy option and one of the safest premium picks at the position.
