KAIZER CHIEFS CONFIRM APPOINTMENT
Confirming the move, Amakhosi said:
“Kaizer Chiefs have appointed Olivier Sorin as the Club’s new goalkeeper coach. He has signed a two-year contract with an option for a further year.”
The club added:
“The former professional goalkeeper, now a seasoned coach, holds a UEFA Goalkeeper A Licence. Over the past decade, Sorin has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of several international goalkeepers, including Édouard Mendy, Steve Mandanda, Doğan Alemdar, among many others.”
EXPERIENCED ADDITION TO THE TECHNICAL TEAM
Born in France, Sorin arrives in South African Betway Premiership with extensive coaching experience after working with several high-profile goalkeepers during the last decade.
His appointment forms part of the restructuring taking place at Naturena as Kaizer Chiefs build a new technical department ahead of the upcoming season.
The club concluded its announcement by confirming:
“Born in France, Sorin has now arrived in South Africa to join the Amakhosi technical team, which will be led by newly appointed head coach Fernando Da Cruz.”
With Sorin now on board, Kaizer Chiefs continue to finalise their backroom staff as preparations intensify for the new campaign, where the club will compete in the Betway Premiership, domestic cup competitions and the CAF Confederation Cup.
