Here's a look at the six Lions that made the list along with Prisco's snippet on each:
- No. 6 overall, OT Penei Sewell: "He was dominant all year in both the run game and pass protection for the Lions. His ability to maul defenders in the run game is a big part of why the Lions run it so well." (Last season: No. 21)
- No. 14 overall, DE Aidan Hutchinson: "Without much help on the defensive line, he still had 14.5 sacks last season after coming back from a broken leg suffered the year before. He is still just 25." (Last season: No. 15)
- No. 21 overall, RB Jahmyr Gibbs: "He is the catalyst that makes the Lions offense go. He rushed for 1,223 yards and caught 77 passes. He averaged 5 yards per rush. He should get more carries this season." (Last season: No. 32)
- No. 46 overall, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown: "He caught 117 passes last season, the fourth straight year he's had more than 100 catches. He is so reliable in the middle of the field, with 70 of his catches resulting in first downs." (Last season: No. 58)
- No. 57 overall, QB Jared Goff: "He threw 34 touchdown passes to finish second in the league behind Matt Stafford. He was also second in passing yards, but the season was somewhat overlooked because the Lions didn't make the playoffs." (Last season: No. 77)
- No. 86 overall, LB Jack Campbell: "This former first-round pick has developed into one of the league's better linebackers. He's good against the run and has improved in coverage." (Last season: Not ranked)
Prisco's list is an indication of the type of star power that Detroit is believed to possess by those that cover the league.
