The ground game of the Minnesota Vikings had real potential last season, but did not get enough snaps to make a difference. The Vikings finished 23rd in rushing yards per game (108.3 YPG) but placed 11th in yards per carry (4.5 YPC).

Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones make a fine duo in the backfield, but should Minnesota look to acquire a star running back?

Garrett Podell of CBS Sports went over five superstars who could demand a trade, and he listed the Indianapolis Colts' Jonathan Taylor as someone who could want out. Podell listed the draft compensation for a deal for the former All-Pro at just a third-round pick.

Should the price actually be a third-round pick or similar to land a player the caliber of Taylor, Minnesota should be on the phone as you read this. We know my stance on Demond Claiborne, how he could turn into their star running back, but he now sits as the RB3 pending a shake-up on the depth chart. Should Kyler Murray win the job and have this team in contention leading up to the trade deadline, the price just might be right to land a star.
