Tyjae Spears makes big Titans prediction after new logo, roster rehaul

The NFL offseason brought new coaching staffs and roster changes across the league. For the Tennessee Titans, the changes went beyond the sideline, as the team also added new weapons to support quarterback Cam Ward.

One of Ward’s weapons in the backfield, Tyjae Spears, knows a thing or two about enduring tough times on football teams. Since entering the NFL in 2023, Spears has experienced more losses than wins with the Titans. However, he remains optimistic that this season will be different.

Spears believes the changes made this offseason, combined with the team’s hard work, will lead to better results. He spoke with the Titans’ media and reflected on his past experiences while discussing the challenges ahead.

Eventually, we keep on working hard and working together, something has to change, and this is the year to change.”
Spears followed that reflection with a strong declaration. In an offseason defined by change, he believes the Titans are ready to take a major step forward in 2026.
“We have a new logo, and we have a lot of new things around here. So, we are going to have a winning record this year.” Spears said.

The Titans have more than just a new coaching staff, incoming rookies, and free-agent additions, they also have a new identity. Tennessee redesigned its uniforms and logo to usher in a new era while paying homage to the franchise’s Oilers history.

Spears believes these changes will help the Titans secure their first winning season since 2021. That year, Tennessee earned the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs.
Since 2021, the Titans have lost several key players, including Derrick Henry, Ryan Tannehill, Kevin Byard III, and A.J. Brown. Now, the team is building around a promising offensive core featuring Ward, Carnell Tate, Spears, and Tony Pollard. The defense has also added reinforcements along the defensive line.
