The Boston Red Sox went through 20 rounds of the 2026 MLB Draft over the weekend but still had another player they wanted.
On Monday, they signed Carson Revay to join their organization.
Revay is a 6-foot-4 left-handed pitcher from Pacific University, with the program itself announcing the news:

Revay is originally from Bear Creek High School in California.
He began his college career as a freshman at Fresno State but didn't play before transferring to Pacific.
In 2025, he struck out a batter per inning in his first season with the Tigers.
Then in 2026, Revay had a 4.01 ERA with 56 strikeouts in 42.2 innings pitched.
Revay was the Tigers' closer, picking up nine saves, second-most in a single season in program history. He was also tied for second in the West Coast Conference in saves.
He also could go a bit longer out of the pen if needed, going 4.0 innings and striking out eight against Loyola Marymount on May 2.
Revay had 16 walks in his 42.2 innings, which is a reasonable ratio for a strikeout-heavy reliever, and better than many of the pitchers who don't make it onto the draft board some years.
The fact that he has control, some bullpen versatility and some strikeout stuff seems like it'll give the lanky Revay a chance. It's a worthwhile try by Boston.
