DIRTcar returns Wednesday to Airbrone

PLATTSBURGH — One of the biggest nights of the season is almost here as the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds return to Airborne Park Speedway on Wednesday for "Thunder in the Adirondacks."

The stars of the Super DIRTcar Series will battle in a 60-lap feature paying $7,200 to the winner, highlighting one of the marquee events of Airborne Park Speedway's 72nd season.

Fans will witness many of the biggest names in dirt modified racing, including Mat Williamson, Alex Yankowski, Matt Sheppard, Tim Fuller, Mike Mahaney, Felix Roy, Justin Stone, Chris Raabe and more.

In addition, a full night of racing will include the J&S Steel Sportsman, Rain-Pro Limited Sportsman, Renegades and Mini Stocks.

General admission is $30 and free for kids 12 and under.

Thunder in the Adirondacks, one of the biggest events on the Airborne Park Speedway, promises an exciting night of side-by-side racing featuring the best Big Block Modified drivers in the Northeast and Canada.

If rain cancels the event, a makeup is scheduled for Thursday.
