Decision day: David Gabriel-Georges
· Yahoo Sports
July 22nd has arrived, a date that’s been set now for a couple of months by the David Gabriel-Georges camp. The 5-star running back will wrap up his recruitment this evening, set to pick between Tennessee, Ohio State and Ole Miss.
In reality, this has been a fierce battle between the Buckeyes and Volunteers down the stretch. According to most in the know, Tennessee enters the day with all the momentum. The Quebec, Canada native plays his high school ball just down the road in Chattanooga at Baylor School, where he’s starred for the past couple of seasons.

Gabriel-Georges ran for 1,749 yards last season in ten games played, scoring 27 times on the ground. The hype was already real surrounding ‘DGG’ before that big season, but it was a reminder of just how elite of a prospect he really is.
According to 247Sports, DGG is the 12th ranked player in the nation and the second-ranked running back overall. Rivals has him ranked No. 9 overall in the class of 2027. The 5-11, 220 pound back trails only Kemon Spell in the rankings, who has committed to Georgia.
Ohio State hosted Gabriel-Georges on an official visit at the end of May. Tennessee made its final impression with their official visit just one week later to open June. Gabriel-Georges canceled an official visit to Georgia, but did take one to Ole Miss.
And finally, after all the jockeying and Tennessee-Ohio State fan banter online, it’s time for a final answer. That answer will come live from Baylor School this evening at 5:30 p.m. ET. CBS Sports will carry a stream of the commitment live via YouTube.
