Additional Special Trains being provided for stranded passengers

Due to severe flooding in and around Simaluguri town in Sivasagar district under the Tinsukia Division of Northeast Frontier Railway, train services between the Simaluguri–Namtiali and Simaluguri – Selenghat sections have been suspended in the interest of passenger safety and operational requirements. As a result, several long-distance trains to and from Dibrugarh and Tinsukia have been diverted via the Rangiya – Rangapara – Dibrugarh route. While certain services have been short terminated or short originated few trains have also been cancelled. To assist passengers affected by these disruptions, it has been decided to operate additional two pairs of special trains, the details of which are given below.
Accordingly, One Special train will operate between Tinsukia and Bhojo from 22.07.26 to 26.07.26. Train no. 05911 (Tinsukia – Bhojo) Special will depart from Tinsukia at 12:00 hrs to reach Bhojo at 14:00 hrs on the same day. In return direction, Train no. 05912 (Bhojo – New Tinsukia) Special will depart from Bhojo at 15:00 hours to reach New Tinsukia at 16:35 hours on the same day.

Another Special train will operate between New Tinsukia and Moranhat from 22.07.26 to 26.07.26. Train no. 05913 (New Tinsukia – Moranhat) Special will depart from New Tinsukia at 16:45 hrs to reach Moranhat at 19:30 hrs on the same day. In return direction, Train no. 05914 (Moranhat – Tinsukia) Special will depart from Moranhat at 20:00 hours to reach Tinsukia at 23:00 hours on the same day.
In addition to the above special trains, N. F. Railway has already introduced three pairs of special trains between Lumding – Mariani Jn., and Rangiya – Mariani Jn. to facilitate the stranded passengers of the route.
