The ever-outspoken, controversial Mark Madden weighed in on former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark being laid off by ESPN, and let's just say it wasn't pretty.
On a new episode of 105.9 The X, Madden went scorched earth on Clark, admitting that he was glad he was let go from ESPN.

"I'm glad Clark got fired, too," Madden said. "I think Clark's an a--. They had to apologize for him constantly, and he had to apologize for himself as well. You know what I think they didn't like? He was doing that podcast, and still is, The Pivot. I don't think that he was apologizing for a lot of stuff said on that."
Clark is no stranger to controversy, as some of his takes completely divided the NFL fan base. But ESPN did not publicly confirm whether or not the issues played a role in his departure.
