UFC legend Jon ‘Bones’ Jones revealed how one Instagram post led to Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton calling him a coward.
Jones is considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, while Hamilton is considered one of the greatest racing car drivers of all time.

Despite their dominance in their chosen sports, the pair don’t get along because of one action by Jones on Instagram that led to Hamilton blocking him.
Jon Jones’ hunting story invites Lewis Hamilton’s anger
Jones shared the story of how he got unfollowed and blocked by Hamilton for hunting pigs with an AR-15 from a helicopter.
“I went hunting years ago with a bunch of Army Rangers. We ended up hunting pigs from a helicopter with an AR-15. I was so proud of myself… Lewis saw that and wrote me a long message saying I was a coward.”
“He thought I was better than that… Only a coward would shoot an animal from a helicopter. He said, ‘Give the animal a chance to fight you back at least.'”
“He unfollowed me and blocked me. It sucked. I was his fan. Lewis, if you’re listening, I am sorry.”
Hamilton has been openly vegan since 2017, advocating against animal cruelty and the carbon emissions from meat and dairy farming.

The 39-year-old fighter apologized to Hamilton and called him his favorite driver, but it’s unlikely Hamilton will engage given how aggressive his initial response was.
Jones has announced his retirement from MMA, but his status remains unclear with the UFC, as the organization has yet to release him from his contract.
Meanwhile, the 41-year-old Hamilton is challenging for his eighth driver’s championship title in F1.
