One of the biggest surprises of the NFL offseason, of course, was when the Buffalo Bills parted ways with head coach Sean McDermott after nine seasons.

The Bills hired him in 2017, and in his very first year as head coach, he took them to the playoffs for the first time in 17 seasons. That's wild, and it's something the franchise won't forget.
Well, that said, the NFL is a fickle league. So, after the Bills lost to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs during the 2025 season, Buffalo decided to go a different direction.
It was a shocker. But, what would be even more surprising would be if he didn't end up with another franchise fairly soon.
Sean McDermott has met with the Los Angeles Rams, per report
On Friday, NFL insider and ESPN personality Adam Schefter took to X to announce that McDermott is meeting with another franchise.
"Former Bills head coach Sean McDermott is visiting today with the Los Angeles Rams," he stated in the post. McDermott is using his off-time to see how a few teams such as the Rams operate."
Earlier in the offseason, there were also rumblings that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers reached out to McDermott about joining Todd Bowles' staff but that he turned down the offer to take some time off.
"Bucs talked to ex-Bills coach Sean McDermott to check about joining Todd Bowles' staff, but he's expected to take this year off and re-assess his options in 2027," Greg Auman of FOX Sports reported. "McDermott overlapped with Jason Licht with Eagles 2003-07 and interviewed for Bucs' HC job in 2016."
Frankly, with the head coaching experience McDermott has, it would be a surprise to see him land with the Rams, where they already have a long-term head coach in Sean McVay. But, maybe the Seans will stick together in some capacity and he'll join in another capacity.
