Since taking over the reins in 2023, Murphy transformed Osceola into a dominant force, compiling the most wins in franchise history and steering the team to three straight first-place conference finishes.

This past season, Murphy led Osceola to a league-best 26-10 record, showcasing an explosive, high-efficiency offensive system that terrorized opponents. That capstone season followed an equally impressive 2024–25 campaign where Murphy guided Osceola to a 22-12 record, securing the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference and propelling the squad to an NBA G-League Finals appearance.

Before taking over the head coaching role in Osceola, Murphy spent three seasons as an assistant coach for the Orlando Magic (2020–2023), learning under the bright lights of the NBA after initially joining the organization in 2018 as a basketball operations analyst.
