Aaron Rodgers has stirred up controversy yet again, making an unprovoked and random comment at Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Fauci has become a polarising figure in the American landscape over his prognostication on the COVID-19 pandemic and push for immunisation through vaccination.

NFL star Aaron Rodgers was perhaps the most vocal athlete speaking out against the COVID-19 vaccine, and has decided to take aim at Fauci years later once again.

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show during the Pittsburgh Steelers’ training camp, Aaron Rodgers was asked about his mindset returning to the NFL for his final season.
Rodgers joked that he would ‘plead the fifth,’ like Anthony Fauci, a reference to the medical expert invoking his Fifth Amendment rights over 100 times during a recent Senate hearing.
“I’m gonna plead the fifth. Like that absolute coward, Tony Fauci. Absolute coward. Are you kidding me? You got a pardon, and you pleaded over 100 times at the White House?
“What are you scared of, Tony? I thought you were the science. Then he can’t get up there and answer the question? How much did the network (ESPN) spend on that?
“How much time did they spend on my responses every week? On my vaccination status? Did they do even a minute on Tony Fauci? Nah, I bet they didn’t.”
For those unaware, the Fifth Amendment rights allow every American citizen a right to protection from self-incrimination, along with other rights during legal proceedings.
Aaron Rodgers’ political comments often land him in hot water
Rodgers had more to say on the matter, calling out ESPN’s over-sensationalised coverage of other NFL-related matters, much to the chagrin of Disney executives.
Over the years, Rodgers’ political stances and comments have garnered a lot of controversy, as the legendary quarterback has made his position on matters brutally clear.
Given the tense political climate in the United States, ESPN officials will be less than pleased with the comments Rodgers made on their network.
While Pat McAfee is one of their biggest attractions, his superiors are bound to send some kind of edict or decree to avoid such conversations on their airwaves going forward.
