The Kelce brothers rose to the highest levels of the NFL, with both securing their legacies as Super Bowl champions.
Travis might be in the running to be one of the greatest modern tight ends, and there was a very clear point in their lives where the younger Kelce proved to be more physically gifted than his elder brother.
Jason Kelce recalls Travis Kelce slamming him the last time they fought
Jason revealed to Shaquille O’Neal that the last time he fought his brother was during a backyard basketball game when they were both in high school, with Travis responding to a Jason punch by slamming his elder brother on the floor.
“I was a junior in high school. Travis was a freshman I was the older brother, so I was winning most of the competitions growing up. He had just gotten taller than me.”
“He was making this little shot over and over, and I couldn’t stop it. So I resorted to fouling him. He said, ‘That’s a foul.’ I said, ‘I don’t see any refs out here.’ He threw the ball at me and walked into the house.”
“I grabbed him by the shoulder and punched him in the face. He scooped me up off my feet and slammed me onto the kitchen floor.” “The oven got knocked off its rack… That was the last fight Travis and I have ever been in.
Travis is listed as 6’5″ and 250 pounds, while his elder brother Jason is 6’3″ and 295 pounds. Jason still has a physical edge as a heavier man, but he likely wasn’t that heavy at the time of this fight and got overwhelmed by his more naturally gifted athletic younger brother.

Jason was the center for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 12-year career, earning six First-team All-Pro nods and seven Pro Bowl selections. He won Super Bowl 52 with the Eagles, retiring one season before the Eagles’ 2024 Super Bowl win over Travis’ Chiefs.
Travis is a three-time Super Bowl Champion, four-time First-team All-Pro, three-time Second-team All-Pro, and an 11-time Pro Bowler.
The 2022 Super Bowl was historic for both, as they became the first-ever brothers to play on opposite ends of a Super Bowl matchup. Travis’ Chiefs beat Jason’s Eagles in 2022, but the Eagles got their revenge in 2024.
