Argyle's Baidoo 'out for months' with hamstring injury

Plymouth Argyle forward Michael Baidoo will be "out for months" with a hamstring injury.
The 27-year-old Ghana international was hurt in the Pilgrims' 0-0 pre-season draw with Bristol City on Saturday.

Baidoo had further scans on the injury on Monday and will now miss a significant portion of the start of the season.
It is a further attacking blow to Argyle, who are without the injured Caleb Watts and Tegan Finn and who sold striker Lorent Tolaj to Bristol City last month
"It's a real disappointment for us all with the seriousness of the injury," Cleverley told Plymouth Argyle's club media before their pre-season game at Tavistock on Tuesday night.
"It looks a significant hamstring injury.
"Michael didn't come to Spain, which was the real key week in terms of fitness, but he'd been working brilliantly well in the games, looked really sharp."

"He looked like he'd certainly found the coach who saw a lot of positives in him, and unfortunately he'll be out for months."
Baidoo had impressed in pre-season after returning to the club having spent last season on loan at Qatari side Umm Salal.
He became Argyle's record signing when he joined for more than £1m in January 2025 from Swedish side Elfsborg.
He had struggled to break into the side in the Championship, but has impressed since coming back into the fold under Cleverley this summer.
