By providing training in entrepreneurship, business development, savings, credit management, financial planning, banking and self-employment, she has helped thousands of families achieve economic stability.
Dr Boraste believes women should move beyond saving money to building businesses, creating their own brands and reaching global markets. Guided by this vision, she has organised exhibitions, trade fairs, training programmes and marketing platforms to promote products made by women's self-help groups.
During a recent study tour of the United States, she studied women-led entrepreneurship, community development models, the functioning of non-governmental organisations and the use of technology in social development. She also showcased products made by Indian women's self-help groups to an international audience. The experience strengthened her resolve to combine global best practices with local needs to further women's empowerment.

She has actively worked in the fields of women's rights, education, healthcare, de-addiction, environmental conservation, social equality, constitutional values and public awareness. She firmly believes that an economically empowered woman has the ability to transform not only her own future but also that of her family and society.
Her work in literature, research, public lectures and participation in national and international conferences has further expanded the reach of her mission. In recognition of her contribution, she has received more than 91 awards and honours. Yet, she often says, "The greatest reward for me is seeing the confidence and satisfaction of self-reliance on a woman's face."
